Bandits Kill Three FRSC Operatives in Kebbi Attack

On a recent date, three operatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) were killed in Kebbi State while performing their official duties. The victims were ambushed by bandits, who reportedly numbered around 20, while they attempted to escape on motorcycles.

This attack is part of a troubling trend, as it marks the fifth time security personnel have been targeted in the area, specifically in the local government areas of Tsamiya and Bagudo. In the past year, a total of ten officers from various security agencies, including customs and immigration, have been killed by terrorist groups in this region.

Following the attack, Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris convened an emergency security meeting to address the rising insecurity and reaffirmed the administration's commitment to combating these challenges. He emphasized that anyone found culpable would face the full weight of the law, expressing deep concern over the recent violence against security operatives.
