FRSC Arrests 39 Vehicles for Traffic Offences in Kebbi

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kebbi Sector Command arrested 39 vehicles for various traffic offences during a special enforcement operation that commenced on July 20. Rukayya Zakaria, the sector command's representative, disclosed this information to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday.

The operation, which is ongoing until Wednesday, July 22, targets critical traffic violations such as overloading, mixed loading, and route violations that endanger the lives of road users. The operation, codenamed "Daidaita Lodi," involves full deployment of personnel across the FRSC's seven operational units in the state.

The initiative aims to improve compliance with road safety regulations and reduce road traffic crashes. Zakaria emphasized the importance of obeying traffic rules, avoiding overloading, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, and promoting safer highways across the state.

The operation is conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
