Canadian Companies Offering Work Permit Sponsorship

Canada has identified eight high-growth companies that can hire eligible foreign professionals, including Nigerians, through its Innovation Stream, a work permit pathway that allows qualifying employers to recruit international talent without first obtaining a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). This initiative is part of Canada's Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP), aimed at attracting highly skilled workers to support innovation and economic growth.

The Innovation Stream pilot has been extended until March 22, 2028. Prospective applicants must secure a job offer from one of the participating employers and meet Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) eligibility requirements.

The eight participating companies are: Ada Support, which develops AI-powered customer service software; AlayaCare, which creates cloud-based software for healthcare providers; CellCarta, specializing in laboratory services and biomarker research; and Clarius, known for designing wireless handheld ultrasound scanners.
