Tragic Fire in Anambra Claims Life of 95-Year-Old Woman

A 95-year-old woman lost her life in a fire that ravaged a residential building on Fabikez Street in Omagba Phase 2, Onitsha North Local Government Area, Anambra State. The fire, which started at around 5:15 pm on a Friday, quickly spread to an adjoining building before being brought under control by the Anambra State Fire Service after several hours.

The blaze caused extensive damage estimated to be worth millions of naira. The elderly woman was trapped in the building during the incident and did not survive.

The State Fire Chief, Chukwudi Chiketa, led the firefighting efforts, with the fire outbreak's cause still under investigation. The Anambra State Fire Service reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and properties, urging residents to be fire-conscious and promptly report emergencies.
