99 Suspected Criminals Arrested in Ondo State Raid

On February 8, the Ondo State Police Command announced the arrest of 99 suspected criminals in a coordinated raid involving multiple security agencies, including the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. The operation targeted identified criminal hideouts known for activities such as armed robbery, burglary, theft, and cultism.

Public Relations Officer Abayomi Jimoh disclosed that the raids were intelligence-led and focused on areas recognized as flashpoints for criminal activity. During the operation, various items linked to criminal activities were recovered, including stolen property.

The Commissioner of Police commended the professionalism of the security officers involved and reiterated the command's commitment to dismantling criminal networks and maintaining law and order in Ondo State. He warned criminals to desist from unlawful activities, emphasizing that Ondo State would not serve as a haven for crime.

The police also encouraged public cooperation in reporting credible information to sustain peace and security in the state.
