NDDC Retreat Focuses on Transparency and Development

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), under the leadership of Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, is initiating a new era of transparency and accountability.

This was highlighted during a management retreat held from February 12-13, 2026, in Owerri, Imo State. The retreat, themed "Consolidating Performance," aimed to strengthen governance and improve project service delivery.

Ogbuku emphasized the need for self-examination and alignment with public expectations, reinforcing the commission's operational standards and ethical conduct. The retreat served as a strategic platform to review performance and address emerging challenges, with a focus on fostering internal cohesion and collaboration across the organization.

Ogbuku noted that the commission is implementing a new governance advisory report, facilitated by KPMG, to enhance its internal processes and ensure alignment with ethical standards. The retreat is positioned as a catalyst for innovation and teamwork, aiming to deliver greater development impact across the Niger Delta region.
