Abba Moro Condemns Killings in Agatu Community

Abba Moro, the minority leader in the Senate, condemned the ongoing attacks in the Agatu community, located in the Benue South Senatorial District. In a statement signed by Emmanuel Ech Ofun John, Moro described the situation as unacceptable, following reports of five individuals being killed by suspected herders in the Olegabulu community of Agatu Local Government Area.

He expressed deep concern over the persistent violence in the region and noted that efforts to curb these attacks have not yielded the desired results. Moro called for urgent action from both federal and state governments to address the security challenges and protect lives and property, extending his condolences to the families of the victims.

He also attributed some of the instability to internal issues within the People's Democratic Party (PDP), dismissing claims that external forces were to blame for the party's challenges, which he described as self-inflicted turmoil.
