Abass Congratulates Shettima on VP Re-nomination for APC

Tajudeen Abass, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, expressed his congratulations to Kashim Shettima on his re-nomination as the vice presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming 2027 general elections. In a statement issued on Saturday, Abass praised President Bola Tinubu's decision to retain Shettima as his running mate, describing it as a recognition of Shettima's loyalty and commitment to national service.

Abass commended Tinubu's leadership and political judgment, stating that the decision reflects confidence in Shettima's ability to strengthen the party's chances in the 2027 elections. He urged APC leaders and members to intensify grassroots mobilization ahead of the elections, asserting that the party would easily secure victory in January.

The APC formally confirmed Shettima's nomination alongside President Tinubu, with the party's national working committee receiving the nomination form from Tinubu and Shettima's special adviser on political matters, Ibrahim Masari, ahead of the Independent National Electoral Commission's deadline for submission of presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
