APC Primaries for House of Reps Set to Begin Tomorrow

The All Progressives Congress (APC) will commence its primary elections for candidates vying for House of Representatives seats on Thursday. This election is crucial as it determines the party's representatives for the upcoming elections next year.

The party's national secretariat reported that the screening committee has reviewed petitions and is prepared for the primaries despite logistical challenges. Prominent APC lawmakers, including Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, House Leader Prof.

Julius Ihonvbere, and others, are seeking re-election. The primaries will adopt a consensus arrangement unless otherwise decided, with the date for the primaries remaining fixed.

The APC has scheduled subsequent elections for the Senate on May 18, House Assembly on May 20, Governorship on May 21, and Presidential on May 23. The party aims to ensure a smooth primary process, with the National Working Committee (NWC) overseeing the arrangements.
