Abbati Declares Candidacy for Adamawa Central Senate Seat

Abdulhame Aliyu Abbati, the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL), announced his intention to contest for the Adamawa Central senatorial seat in the upcoming 2027 elections. This declaration was made during a press conference held in Yola.

Abbati emphasized the importance of wide consultations with stakeholders in the zone and expressed his desire to represent the people of Adamawa Central. He highlighted the need for experienced leadership that can influence federal presence and attract projects to the area.

Abbati pledged to collaborate with federal government institutions and leaders to bring development, focusing on infrastructure, health support, education access, and employment opportunities. He also addressed concerns regarding the party's primary process, assuring that it would be transparent and fair, and he committed to supporting the eventual winner of the APC primaries.
