Nasarawa Varsity Students Freed; Two Suspects Arrested

Two students from a university in Nasarawa State have regained their freedom after being abducted. The Nasarawa State Police Command confirmed this development on Tuesday, stating that the victims are currently receiving medical attention and psychological support following their ordeal.

The police announced the arrest of two suspects linked to the kidnapping during an intelligence-led operation. The suspects, identified as Abdullahi Yeyi Haro, alleged leader of the kidnapping syndicate, and Basiru Abdullahi, a native of Gudi, were apprehended as part of a coordinated tactical effort aimed at dismantling the criminal network responsible for the abduction.

Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, Shetima Jauro, commended the professionalism and commitment of the police in ensuring public safety and reiterated the command's determination to eliminate kidnapping and violent crime in the state. Ongoing investigations aim to track down and arrest other fleeing members of the syndicate.
