Police Arrest Kidnap Suspects, Students Freed in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command confirmed the safe release of seven individuals, including six engineering students from Nasarawa State University, who were kidnapped from a lodge located in Anguwar Ninzo on the outskirts of Gudi in Akwanga Local Government Area. The police arrested two suspects linked to the kidnapping, identified as Abdullahi Yeyi Haro, alleged leader of the kidnapping syndicate, and Basiru Abdullahi.

The operation that led to the arrest was coordinated by the command's tactical team following intelligence reports. The victims are currently receiving necessary medical attention after their ordeal.

Police spokesman Ramhan Nansel assured the public that investigations are ongoing to apprehend other members of the syndicate and urged residents to continue supporting security agencies. The command commended the officers involved in the operation for their professionalism and resilience in ensuring the safety of residents across the state.
