AbdulRazaq Advocates for Enhanced Military Presence in Kwara

On Tuesday, during a meeting at the Ministry of Defence in Abuja, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq requested a stronger military presence in vulnerable communities across Kwara State. The meeting, which included Minister of Defence Bello Matawalle, was aimed at addressing security challenges in the state.

AbdulRazaq emphasized the need for enhanced support and cooperation among security agencies, stating that he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring the security of Kwara. He also engaged with top federal security authorities, including President Bola Tinubu and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, to strengthen the state's security architecture.

The governor announced the establishment of a Safer Kwara Security Committee at the cabinet level, tasked with developing sustainable solutions to security threats. Additionally, he mentioned the deployment of trained forest guards to improve surveillance and support security agencies in addressing challenges in ungoverned forest areas in Kwara North and South.
