Abia APC Threatens Ogah Over Labour Party Support Remarks

The Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has threatened disciplinary action against Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, a former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, following his remarks at a civic event in Isuikwuato. The APC described Ogah's comments as reckless and irresponsible, asserting they do not align with the party's ideals.

The party's statement emphasized their commitment to winning the 2027 governorship election and warned against harboring individuals undermining collective goals. They accused Ogah of operating as a mole within the party and noted previous suspensions of party members for similar conduct.

Ogah defended his remarks, clarifying that they were made during a civic celebration honoring notable individuals, not a Labour Party event. The Abia Rejoice Movement, which Ogah is associated with, stated that his comments were motivated by patriotism rather than partisanship, urging political actors to focus on constructive engagement.
