Labour Party Defends Ogah's Support for Otti's Re-election

The Abia State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC) for threatening former Minister Uch Ogah after he publicly declared his support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti. The LP, represented by its state public secretary Chidieber Okoro, stated that Ogah's support does not constitute an anti-party offense, countering the APC's accusations.

The APC, through its public secretary Uch Aguoru, claimed Ogah acted as a mole within the party and vowed to investigate the matter thoroughly, recommending necessary actions based on their findings. The LP emphasized that Ogah's endorsement of Otti reflects a personal opinion on the governor's performance, particularly during an event in Isuikwuato LGA.

The party criticized the APC's allegations as unfounded and baseless, asserting that Ogah is a respected citizen of the state deserving of public support.
