Scrap Seller Remanded for Alleged Murder in Lagos

Ibrahim Musa, a 35-year-old scrap seller, has been remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre following his arraignment for the alleged murder of 25-year-old Auwal Ibrahim Musa. The incident reportedly occurred on February 22, 2021, at approximately 8:30 PM in the PZ PLC area of Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos.

The Lagos State Government has charged Ibrahim Musa with murder, which contravenes Section 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015. During the court proceedings, the charges were read by the court registrar, and the defendant, through an interpreter, pleaded not guilty.

Justice Abiola Soladoy subsequently ordered his remand at the correctional facility and adjourned the case until March 24, 2024, for the commencement of the trial. The prosecution, represented by Ms.

Olufunk Alebiosu, outlined the allegations against the defendant.
