Abia APC Leaders Urged to Back Sam Onuigbo for Senate

Leaders of the Abia chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been encouraged to support Sam Onuigbo for the Abia Central Senatorial ticket. Chief Augustin Anyaegbu, who led a meeting of stakeholders from the six local government areas in the Abia Central Senatorial District, emphasized Onuigbo's significant political experience, having served as a member of the House of Representatives from 2015 to 2023.

Anyaegbu noted Onuigbo's sponsorship of Nigeria's Climate Change Act 2021 and his strong track record, which positions him as a formidable candidate for the 11th Senate. The stakeholders expressed confidence in Onuigbo's ability to deliver quality representation and urged the party to support him, highlighting the importance of maintaining unity within the APC to enhance its prospects in the elections.

They also referenced the need to resist divisive tendencies within the party and to promote Onuigbo's candidacy as a means to bolster the APC's standing nationally.
