Abia CP Warns Officers Against Misbehavior and Political Activities

The Abia State Commissioner of Police, Danladi Isa, issued a warning to police officers in the state to avoid misbehavior on social media, drunkenness, and political involvement. He highlighted a recent incident in Delta State where a sergeant was demoted for breaching the social media policy.

Isa emphasized the importance of officers remaining neutral and not engaging in political activities. He cautioned against unlawful detention of suspects except for serious offenses, extortion, drunkenness, illegal roadblocks, and unauthorized duties.

Isa urged officers to supervise subordinates properly to avoid vicarious liability and maintain the positive image of the Nigeria Police Force. He commended officers for their performance during the Christmas and New Year period, urging them to ensure peace and security across the state.
