Abia and Imo States Launch Joint Security Task Force Against Bandits

Abia and Imo states have initiated a joint security task force to enhance surveillance and tackle criminal activities on the Aba-Owerri Expressway. The task force, comprising military, police, and DSS personnel, will conduct 24-hour patrols and utilize sophisticated drones for surveillance.

Governors Ferdinand Ekeoma and Alex Otti, along with Senator Hope Uzodinma, are leading the effort to ensure the safety of citizens traveling during the festive season. The move comes after a series of criminal incidents on the expressway, including kidnappings and armed robberies.
