Abia State Launches 2026 Youth Leadership Bootcamp

Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti announced the establishment of the Abia State Leadership Academy as a strategic institution for training future leaders, focusing on ethics, values, and practical leadership skills for Abia youths.

He made these remarks while inaugurating the 2026 Youth Leadership Bootcamp, which has 1,000 participants selected from over 7,000 applicants. The bootcamp takes place every long vacation at Government College, Umuahia, under the Otti administration.

Governor Otti, represented by Deputy Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, expressed commitment to developing young Abians and urged participants to engage actively in the program.

The academy has partnered with the Enterprise Development Centre of Pan-Atlantic University for this year's training. Pastor Mrs.

Eno Jerry-Eze, the program facilitator, emphasized the importance of civic responsibility, while Pastor Caleb Ajagba, Chief of Staff to the Governor, described the initiative as a strategic investment in the future of Abia, aiming to instill integrity, innovation, and public service values in the youth.
