Abia Monarch Calls for Peace After Student's Death

Ez Paulson Nwankwo, the traditional ruler of Anunu Ukwu in Obingwa Local Government Area, Abia State, has appealed for peace after the death of Wendi Achumba, a final-year nursing student from Umulogho Community in Obowo Local Government Area, Imo State. Nwankwo urged the youth to abandon any plans for revenge, warning that such actions could lead to further violence.

He emphasized the importance of restraint while security agencies continue their investigation into the incident. Two suspects have already been arrested by the Imo State Police Command, who described Achumba's death as unfortunate.

The police have initiated a thorough investigation, which includes the recovery of blood-stained knife exhibits from the scene. DSP Henri Okoy confirmed that the police responded promptly to the incident and that further investigations will be made public once concluded.

Nwankwo expressed condolences to Achumba's family and prayed for their strength during this difficult time.
