Nursing Student Wendi Achumba Killed in Imo State

Wendi Achumba, a nursing student at the College of Nursing Umunze, was killed by unidentified assailants in Obowo Local Government Area, Imo State. Her lifeless body was discovered off-campus, leading to a police investigation.

Henri Okoy, the police public relations officer, confirmed that one suspect has been arrested and is undergoing preliminary questioning. The police have initiated a manhunt for other members of the gang involved in this tragic incident.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) promptly visited the scene to assess the situation, and the body was recovered and deposited in a morgue. The police command has assured the public that efforts are being made to bring those responsible for the act to justice and has appealed for calm among students and the community.
