PDP Candidate Anosike Critiques Otti's Governance in Abia

Kelechi Anosike, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Abia State, stated that the state requires holistic development. During an interaction with journalists in Abuja on Friday, he outlined his vision for a people-centered administration that prioritizes welfare and economic growth.

Anosike criticized the current governor, Alex Otti, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, for his performance, particularly in road infrastructure, which he rated below average despite the significant revenue influx to the state. Anosike argued that the people of Abia deserve better, claiming that the current administration has not effectively utilized the state's financial resources.

He also highlighted issues in health and education, referencing a scandal surrounding a smart school project worth N84 billion that remains incomplete. Anosike pledged to implement a minimum wage of N90,000 with regular reviews to reflect economic realities, asserting that welfare will remain a top priority in his governance.
