Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun Gifts SUVs to Traditional Rulers

On Thursday night, during a statutory meeting held at the Oba Complex in Abeokuta, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun presented 40 brand new SUVs to traditional rulers in the state. This gesture was aimed at appreciating the monarchs for their invaluable support and partnership in sustaining peace, stability, and development across Ogun State.

Governor Abiodun described traditional rulers as custodians of culture and tradition, vital in bridging the gap between the government and the people. He reiterated the need for continued collaboration with the traditional rulers to create a peaceful and investor-friendly environment, emphasizing that Ogun State cannot afford to discourage genuine investors.

The Ogun State Council of Obas serves as a formal consultative body for the state government, established under the Ogun State Traditional Council Law enacted in 2021, which provides a legal framework for the recognition and regulation of traditional rulers across the state.
