ABU VC Praises Kaduna's Major Road Reconstruction Project

Prof. Adamu Ahm, the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), commended the Kaduna State government's ongoing reconstruction of internal roads within the university, describing it as the largest infrastructure intervention in four decades.

He noted that the quality of work exceeded expectations and emphasized that ABU, as Nigeria's foremost engineering institution, is directly involved in supervising the project to ensure it meets engineering standards. Governor Uba Sani's administration initiated 150 road projects covering approximately 1,345 kilometers across Kaduna State's 23 local government areas.

Dr. Abdullahi Baba Ahm from the Kaduna State Road Agency confirmed that engineering tests conducted on the project met required standards.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of August or early September, despite the rainy season. Abdulrahman Aliyu, President of the Student Union Government, highlighted the project's significance in improving access and reducing flooding, thereby enhancing the learning environment at the university.
