Uba Sani Launches Major 60km Road Project at ABU

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, has initiated a 60-kilometer road project at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), which is being recognized as the largest infrastructure project in the region in 40 years. Hadiza Moham, the Director of Strategic Communication for the USB2B Movement, announced this during a press briefing in Zaria.

The project involves a complete reconstruction of the internal roads, including modern drainage systems, street lighting, and pedestrian walkways that ensure accessibility for disabled individuals. Moham emphasized the project's significance as a major infrastructural intervention in the university's recent history.

Quality tests conducted by ABU's Faculty of Engineering confirmed that the road exceeds required standards. The project is expected to serve as an economic lifeline for hundreds of artisans and laborers in nearby communities.

Additionally, the governor has approved land grants for staff housing within the university, highlighting the importance of investing in staff welfare and the future of the institution.
