Uba Sani Reconstructs Bridge in Kaduna, Easing Hardship

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, has successfully reconstructed a bridge along the Marabar Yakawada Kaya road in Giwa Local Government Area, which had been a source of hardship for residents for two decades. The bridge's reconstruction is expected to revive agricultural, commercial, and social activities across the community, particularly during the rainy season when previous conditions had isolated residents.

The bridge serves as a critical lifeline, restoring access to markets, healthcare facilities, and farmland. The collapse of the bridge had severely disrupted economic activities, making movement extremely difficult and isolating the predominantly agrarian community.

During a media tour, Shehu Muharazu, a commercial driver, highlighted the challenges faced by motorists due to the bridge's condition. Mallam Ibrahim, a farmer, noted that the collapse frequently stranded farmers returning from work.

The reconstruction is anticipated to significantly improve access to emergency healthcare services, reducing challenges for vulnerable residents, especially pregnant women. Ahm Maiyaki, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Information, led a team of journalists to inspect the project, emphasizing the government's commitment to rural development.
