Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, announced that repairs are underway for the Kugbo bus terminal in Abuja, which was damaged during a rainstorm on April 7. The storm caused part of the terminal's roof to be blown off, but Wike confirmed that no lives were lost and the terminal's structure remains intact. The ongoing repairs address the damage caused by strong winds. The Kugbo bus terminal is one of three newly built terminals, with the project scheduled for inauguration in June 2025. Wike also mentioned that the Kugbo bus terminal, located in the Central Business District of Mabushi, is expected to enhance commuter safety and convenience. Although the terminal will not begin operations until after the Federal Executive Council's approval, it is set to operate under a public-private partnership arrangement.
