Abuja-Kaduna Highway Concrete Road Project Progresses

The introduction of concrete pavement technology on the Abuja-Kaduna highway has generated excitement among residents and motorists. This project, which is part of the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano Super Highway initiative, aims to enhance connectivity and improve road safety across northern Nigeria.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President, led an inspection tour of the project, which is designed to stimulate economic activity in the region. The concrete pavement has covered 88 kilometers in the Zuba to Jere stretch, with a comparison to the inbound section of 21 kilometers.

The project is being managed by Robert Turner, a senior project manager from Infouest International, and employs around 1,000 local workers. The completion of the first section is targeted for today, with the second section expected to be finished by November 2026.

The Federal Government emphasizes its commitment to modernizing Nigeria's transport infrastructure and keeping citizens informed about project progress.
