Mabushi Residents Face Six-Month Water Scarcity Crisis

Residents of Mabushi under the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) have been experiencing severe water scarcity for almost six months. Mr Godwin Jacob, a resident, expressed his daily struggle to access water, emphasizing the community's urgent need for this essential resource.

Mrs Blessing John attributed the water shortage to ongoing road construction in the area, stating that the FCT Water Board has assured them that water supply will resume once the construction is completed. She mentioned that residents often resort to begging for water from nearby estates every morning and evening.

Other residents, including Mr Bash and Mr Temple, echoed the sentiment that the water shortage is a significant issue, with some relying on rainwater for survival. Mr Bash raised a critical concern about the implications if the rain were to stop, highlighting the precarious situation faced by the community.
