Abuja Residents Association to Honor Akpabio and Governors
The All Abuja Residents Association (AARA), representing residents of the Federal Capital Territory, has announced an awards ceremony to honor notable public office holders for their effective governance. Scheduled for December 15, 2026, the event will recognize individuals such as Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Abia state governor Alex Otti, Kaduna state governor Uba Sani, and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, among others.
AARA National President Igwekala Ugomaduefule stated that the awards are based on a thorough assessment of the officials' records and feedback from constituents. He emphasized the importance of accountability in governance, urging public officials to meet the expectations of the people they serve.
The association plans to recognize governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives, and ministers from all six geopolitical zones, reinforcing the need for constituents to hold their elected representatives accountable for their performance.
