ADC Demands Prosecution of Nafiu Bala for Forgery

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has demanded the prosecution of Nafiu Bala for allegedly forging a document from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The ADC claims that Bala falsely asserted he obtained INEC's access code to upload candidates for the 2027 general elections.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's spokesperson, stated that INEC confirmed the document circulated by Bala was indeed false, characterizing it as a criminal attempt to undermine the integrity of Nigeria's electoral body. The ADC urged INEC to refer the matter to law enforcement agencies, warning that failure to act would erode public confidence in Nigeria's electoral process.

The party emphasized that Bala's actions could create unnecessary political tension and cast doubt on the security and credibility of INEC's systems. The ADC insists that those involved in promoting falsehoods must be investigated and prosecuted according to the law to preserve public trust in democratic processes.
