Accord Endorses Adeleke for Osun Governorship Re-election

The national leadership of Accord has officially endorsed Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, for re-election in the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15. In a press statement issued on Monday in Abuja and signed by Barr Maxwell Mgbudem, the party's National Chairman, it was stated that Adeleke's record in office has garnered him significant support and positioned him favorably for victory.

Accord highlighted the governor's achievements in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, workers' welfare, security, and social amenities. Despite challenges such as the withholding of local government federal allocations, the party noted that Adeleke has continued to fulfill his mandate.

Accord urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to maintain neutrality and ensure a free, fair, credible, and transparent election. They emphasized the need to protect the sanctity of the ballot box and called on voters to reject vote buying, which they deemed harmful to democracy.

The party expressed confidence in Adeleke's re-election prospects and encouraged Osun residents to support his administration.
