Achukwu Claims Best Net Player Title at TYB Golf Event

Tuesday Amola Achukwu emerged as the overall best net player at the 2026 TYB Lady Captain and Exco’s Inaugural Kitty, which took place at the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort and Country Club in Abuja. Achukwu, playing off a handicap of 17.3, achieved a gross score of 82 and a net score of 65, winning on countback.

The tournament, organized to celebrate the inauguration of Lady Captain Jumai Adamu, featured 266 golfers competing across various handicap and age categories. S.J.

Marcus recorded the best gross score with 83, while Eunice Pam was the runner-up in the overall net category with a score of 67. Other notable performances included Patience Abechi winning Ladies Category One with a net score of 67, and Agiozie Chinedu Ibekwe winning Men’s Category One with a net score of 64.

Achukwu expressed his delight at winning, acknowledging the strong competition and appreciating the organizers and fellow golfers.
