TYB Golf Club Unveils New Caddy Shed in Abuja

On Monday, the Tukur Yusuf Buratai International Golf Resort and Country Club (TYB-IGRCC) in Abuja commissioned a new caddy shed aimed at improving the welfare and working conditions of its caddies. This state-of-the-art facility features bathrooms, toilets, and a canteen, designed to create a more conducive working environment.

Dr Ali Peters, Vice Captain of TYB-IGRCC, represented the club’s Captain, Brig.-Gen. Nicholas Ashinze, during the commissioning. Peters stated that the project underscores the club’s commitment to the welfare of its caddies, who are integral to the club's operations.

He expressed gratitude to various patrons, including Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, Grand Patron Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, and Patron Maj.-Gen. Valentine Okoro, for their support. Maj.-Gen. Godwin Umelo (rtd.), who commissioned the facility, urged caddies to take ownership and maintain the shed for future users, emphasizing their role as co-owners of the club.
