Acting IGP Olatunji Disu's First Assignment Announced

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Olatunji Disu announced his first assignment aimed at addressing the issue of impunity within the Nigeria Police Force. This announcement was made during a press briefing on Wednesday, shortly after he was sworn in by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Disu expressed deep emotion recounting his career achievements and the acknowledgment he received from President Tinubu. He emphasized that his leadership will focus on ensuring that police officers are trained to uphold human rights and enforce a regime of zero tolerance for corruption.

Disu also highlighted the critical role of public cooperation in achieving success in policing, stating that without the support of the public, the objectives of the police force cannot be met.
