Tim Curry, renowned for his performances in ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ and ‘It’, passed away on August 25, 2026, at his home in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, at the age of 80. The cause of death was identified as coronary artery disease, according to documents from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health obtained by PEOPLE.

The documents also noted a history of stroke and kidney cancer as contributing conditions, although they were not the primary cause of death. Curry's manager confirmed that he died peacefully.

Notably, no surgical interventions were performed for his coronary artery disease, kidney cancer, or history of stroke. Tim Curry had been facing significant health challenges for over a decade, having suffered a major stroke in 2012 that resulted in lasting mobility issues, ultimately necessitating the use of a wheelchair.
