Adamawa Assembly Receives Andrew Leneke's Nomination

The Adamawa State House of Assembly has received the nomination of Andrew Leneke from Damsa LGA for confirmation as a commissioner. The nomination was submitted by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri in a letter addressed to the assembly, which was read during the plenary session on Tuesday.

Speaker Bathiya Wesley presided over the session and directed the clerk to invite Leneke for screening on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. This development follows the recent resignation of Dr.

Felix Tangwami, who left his position to pursue a political office. It remains unclear whether Leneke will take over the health ministry, which is currently without a commissioner.
