Adamawa State Judiciary Appoints 20 Judges; Kwara Court Affirms Bank Robbery Convictions

The Adamawa State Judiciary Service Commission has approved the appointment of 20 judges to serve across the High Court, Sharia Court of Appeal, and Customary Court of Appeal in the state. This move aims to strengthen the judicial capacity and improve the efficiency of justice delivery within the state's judicial system. The appointed judges include Aliyu Bakari, Ibrahim Ulenda, Musa Daniel, and others across the different courts.

In a separate development, the Court of Appeal sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State, upheld the dismissal of appeals in a significant bank robbery case involving Ayoad Akinnibosun, Azeez Salahudeen, Niyi Ogundiran, Ibikunle Ogunleye, Adeola Abraham, and Michael Adikwu. These individuals were convicted in connection with a bank robbery in Offa, Kwara State, where several people, including police officers, lost their lives. The court affirmed the lower court's decision, stating that the prosecution had proven the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
