Adamawa Speaker Leads Lawmakers Out of PDP Amid Speculation

On a Wednesday plenary session, Adamawa State Speaker Bathiya Weslei announced the resignation of several lawmakers from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The resigning members included Deputy Speaker Moham Buba Jidjiwa and others such as Kefa Calvin, Bulu Geoffrei, Leko Koma, and Haruna Jilantikiri, among others.

The session was marked by the absence of some members, which drew attention from the media. Mahmud Kallamu, the chairman of the House Committee, indicated that consultations would be made to determine a new political platform for the resigning members.
