ADC Blames Tinubu for Hunger Crisis Affecting 17 Million

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has stated that 17 million Nigerians are currently experiencing acute hunger, attributing this crisis to the policy failures of President Bola Tinubu's administration. In a statement from the party's national public secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC referenced a report from the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) which indicates that food insecurity has reached catastrophic levels, particularly affecting three million individuals in Borno State alone.

The combined figures for Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states have risen to 6.2 million. The ADC emphasized that these figures are not politically motivated but reflect the dire humanitarian situation.

They criticized the federal government's handling of insecurity, economic policies, and failure to protect farmers, which has exacerbated the food crisis. The ADC called for urgent action to address the humanitarian disaster created by the administration's misplaced priorities and the ongoing insecurity affecting agricultural production.
