ADC Accuses EFCC of Targeting El-Rufai, Malami Politically

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of arresting former Attorney General Abubakar Malami and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai as part of a politically motivated strategy to weaken opposition parties ahead of the 2027 general elections. Hajiya Hassana Shuaibu Dada, the ADC's Assistant National Youth Leader for North Central, made these allegations in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Dada described the investigations and arrests as selective and aimed at undermining the ADC's influence. She asserted that the actions of the EFCC are intended to intimidate opposition figures and slow the growth of the ADC's political presence.

Dada emphasized that such tactics would not deter the ADC but instead strengthen their resolve for justice and fair governance. She urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and support political alternatives that promote accountability and good governance.
