ADC Accuses FG of Plotting Against Party Stability

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Federal Government, led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), of attempting to destabilize the party in light of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso's recent defection. The ADC alleges that there is mounting pressure on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), chaired by Prof.

Joash Ojo Amupitan, to interfere with the party's internal leadership structure. In a statement issued by spokesperson Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC highlighted a letter dated March 28, 2026, from a group of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, which purportedly urged INEC to take actions that would alter the party's leadership.

The ADC described these developments as a calculated attempt to force INEC to recognize certain individuals and reverse internal decisions that are currently under judicial review. The party emphasized that it will resist any external pressure to impose leadership changes and will continue to uphold its democratic processes.
