ADC's Okoye Praises Court Ruling on Mark's Leadership

High Chief Godson Okoye, a member of the Board of Trustees of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), commended the Federal High Court's judgment that affirmed Senator David Mark's leadership of the party's National Working Committee (NWC). Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Friday, Okoye described the judgment as a landmark ruling that would strengthen opposition democracy in Nigeria.

He noted that the court's victory would energize the ADC and galvanize support to wrest power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Okoye called for an independent judiciary, stating it is the last hope for ordinary citizens, and urged the party to leverage the court's ruling to unite ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He expressed confidence in the party's ability to navigate potential legal challenges and emphasized the importance of delivering justice. The Federal High Court, presided over by Hon.

Justice Liman, ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Senator David Mark as duly elected.
