ADC Welcomes Court Ruling Affirming David Mark's Leadership

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) reacted to a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja on Thursday, which affirmed David Mark's leadership as the party's national leader. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's national publicity secretary, stated that the judgment clarifies that leadership issues within the ADC are internal matters and not subject to judicial intervention, especially in light of the Electoral Act 2022.

Abdullahi noted that the current leadership under David Mark is in accordance with the law and constitution. He expressed hope that the judgment would help end unnecessary distractions caused by judicial manipulation aimed at destabilizing the opposition.

The ADC commended the courage of the presiding judge for standing firmly on the side of justice and awarded a fine against the plaintiff's lawyer, which Abdullahi hopes will deter future frivolous legal actions. The ADC emphasized the importance of focusing on pressing national issues such as insecurity, rising costs of living, and unemployment.
