ADC Convention in Abuja: Security Heightened for Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention took place at the Rainbow Event Center in Abuja, with security significantly increased due to the presence of 3,000 delegates. The event aimed to elect a new National Working Committee (NWC) to lead the party for the next four years.

Security personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Services (DSS) conducted thorough checks at the main entrance to ensure safety. Despite facing challenges, including attempts to stop the convention, which were not approved by the venue owner, the event proceeded as planned.

Mr. Kabiru Saje, a member of the new media committee, expressed confidence in the party's leadership and the arrangements made for the convention.

The atmosphere was reported to be positive as delegates arrived, and the event was expected to start at 11 AM.
