Court Adjourns ADC Leadership Suit Against David Mark

The Federal High Court in Abuja has adjourned indefinitely a suit filed by Nafiu Bala Gomb challenging the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by David Mark. The adjournment, which marks the second time the case has been deferred, was ordered by Justice Emeka Nwite.

The case was postponed pending the presentation of a certified true copy of the Supreme Court's judgment. Gomb's lawyer, Luka Musa Haruna, expressed frustration over perceived attempts to delay proceedings, while David Mark's counsel, Realwan Okpanachi, accused the plaintiff of misrepresenting the Supreme Court's decision.

The Supreme Court had previously ordered the case to return to the trial court after dismissing an interlocutory appeal. The court will await further directives from the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court regarding the case transfer request.
