Kano Governor Declares ADC "Dead on Arrival"

In a statement issued by Mustapha Muhammad, the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as "dead on arrival" in Kano State amid ongoing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections. Yusuf attributed the ADC's weakened state to internal crises and a lack of grassroots support necessary for political survival.

He argued that the party's internal wrangling significantly undermined its structure, rendering it incapable of competing in Kano's dynamic political environment. Yusuf maintained that Kano remains firmly under the control of the ruling political structure, supported by overwhelming public trust.

He called for unity and support for his administration, emphasizing the commitment to delivering on campaign promises. Additionally, he expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, would achieve victory in the upcoming elections, highlighting successful partnerships with the federal government in infrastructure development and social intervention programs.
