ADC Dismisses Unauthorized INEC Portal Claims by Gomb

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has rejected claims made by Mr. Nafiu Bala Gomb regarding unauthorized uploads of presidential candidates' names to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.

In a statement issued on Monday, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC's national public secretary, described the reports as false and misleading, urging INEC to investigate the allegations of forgery involving unauthorized documents purportedly issued by the commission. The ADC emphasized that INEC does not issue nomination portal access codes to rival leadership groups and that any unauthorized uploads should not be recognized.

The party reaffirmed its leadership's legitimacy and confirmed that its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and vice-presidential candidate, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, have already uploaded their details to the INEC nomination portal.

The ADC called on its members and the public to disregard attempts to create confusion ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing the importance of maintaining public confidence in the electoral process.
