ADC Denies Forgery Claims, Urges INEC Investigation

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has formally dismissed claims made by a group led by Nafiu Bala Gomb, which alleged that they uploaded names of presidential candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal. In a statement signed by Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC described these claims as a "blatant lie" and emphasized that INEC does not issue nomination portal access codes to unauthorized individuals.

The party urged the public to disregard the claims, which they believe are attempts to create confusion ahead of the 2027 general elections. The ADC stated that the actions of the group could undermine public confidence in Nigeria's electoral process and called for an investigation into the matter, asserting that the documents used by the group appeared to be forged and unauthorized.

The ADC aims to maintain focus on providing a credible alternative for Nigerians in the upcoming elections.
